Daddy's Girl

Here I am, 'laxing on my beandad after dinner. I likes sitting on him and doing the bread and butter and then having a nap. He gives me scritches and does the ear thing I like. I love my bean dad.Thank you for bringing home the crunchy goodness!

I feel the same way about my dad. They are the best things to have. Next to a mom. I wish every cat could have one, even if they have to share.

We don't have a Dad but our Mum is great to lay on. She's my favorite sleeping spot.

I like loafing on my mom. If she sits down in the chair and doesn't immediately invite me on her lap, I usually stand on the arm of the chair and stare at her. Then, I'll walk back and forth behind her, throwing my body against her head.

It takes awhile sometimes, but she gets the message loud and clear.

We love our Dad too. Sometimes he still mutters stuff about the place being infested, but he gives good stritches, and it was actually him that showed Mom how Turtle likes to be held (TIGHT!). She never had a kitty that needed a straightjacket hold to be comfy before.

Thanks for visiting - always great to meet another Texan!

Hello Ms Mia
our mom & dad wish we were lap cats. But were not. Pictures like yours makes mom jealous. You look awfully comfy there.

Aw :) You look real happy with your bead dad. I gotta tell Mommy to get one of those just for me! Maybe she'll let me pick out my own.

Hiya Derby and Merlin, Shadow & Ko Ko and WMD and Magoo, Smudge, Bella & Dolce,
I was comfy and happy!

Firenze,
I like the mom's lap too, sometimes. She doesn't move when I lay on her. She only moves after I get off.

Kukka,
I do the same thing!

Les Trois Chats,
I never had a straightjacket hug before, hmmm.

Patches,
I know, you have to give equal lap time to the beans or they get upset.

Sanjee,
Make sure you get to pick a dad for yourself. They're lots of fun but I heard they are real hard to train.

Glad you made it clear you were relaxed and happy, because it can also be seen as threatening violence if he stops scritching and bringing home crunchy goodness. (And don't let him forget you're capable of it!)

Mia, you are like me and don't need a straightjacket hug. We're smart enough to know a good thing when we see it! Turtle was a feral kitty - Mom's vet found her - and she didn't like to be held at all. But Dad discovered that she's ok with being picked up (you can tell by the purring) as long as he holds her real tight against him. Turtle is a little odd, I think... I just jump on people and demand attention when I want to be held.
