Scary Rita
Mom and dad are worried. We live in Houston. We have a scaryhurricane in the gulf of mexico. She says that we will be OK because we don't live near the water. We are going to grammie's house in another part of Houston. I haven't been there before. I hope I won't be a'scared. Keep your paws crossed, poodins, for all the people on the Texas coast and inland and me and my mom and dad and grammie in Houston.

Eeek! I've never been in a hurricane but my mom has, a bunch of times. She says if you're far enough inland and don't need to board up the windows, put big masking tape Xs just in case and leave a window open on each side of the house about 1 inch to equalize pressure. You can help with the tape--just don't get it stuck on your feet!
Everybody stay safe and try not to be too scared...we'll all be thinking about you!

Miss Mia - it's sunday and we came to check up on you to see if you posted. we see on the tv that houston didn't get socked real bad so we hope you and your family are all good and just not back home or able to go online yet.
